Accessibility
Built to be used by everyone.
We target WCAG 2.1 AA across the website and the app, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs to fix — not requests to file.
What we aim for
The Wiseheart website and app target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. That means readable contrast, keyboard navigability, screen-reader support, scalable text, and meaningful alternative text for images and icons.
Practices we follow
- Semantic HTML and ARIA where semantics aren't enough.
- Skip-to-content link, visible focus states, and keyboard support on every interactive element.
- Color isn't our only way of conveying meaning. Status cues pair color with shape, icon, or text.
- Reduced-motion preferences are honored. Animations soften or disappear when the user has set that preference.
- Print stylesheets keep legal and quick-start pages legible on paper.
Known limitations
We track open accessibility issues as we find them and prioritize them alongside other bug work. As of today:
- Some product illustrations are still placeholders without final alt text — they ship with descriptive captions in the meantime.
- The chat widget is keyboard-operable; we're still smoothing the focus return when it closes.
- Companion app conformance is tested per release. Issues found are fixed at the same priority as bugs.
Report an issue
If something on the site or in the app isn't accessible to you, email accessibility@wiseheart.me. We respond within five business days and treat reports as bugs once we've confirmed them.
Assistive technology used in testing
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
- TalkBack on Android.
- NVDA on Windows.
- Keyboard-only navigation across all supported browsers.
